But it will be overruled. Napoli were at the airport. ASL said you cannot travel.

The main argument is that ASL did not follow protocol but that is not Napoli’s fault.

As the song lyric went."It doesn't mean S%%t to a tree".
Goes for both my beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and Juve. In the big picture this is nothing

But the ASL health authority has come and on TV said Napoli will face criminal charges if they travel.

It is absurd to blame Napoli for this.

The ASL released their statement today, just a few hours before the game. The letter was posted online, with today’s date on it. Even the league said they had received nothing from the ASL earlier today. Atalanta played a game today and they had a positive player. Salernitana traveled and they had a positive player, why didn’t ASL there stop them? In other leagues they held games.

Agnelli was just interviewed and he said that ADL reached out to him and said maybe they should postpone it, he said he told ADL he will do whatever the league decides. It’s just a little suspicious that the ASL head down there was just getting public support from ADL a week and a half ago, it’s an elected position. The ASL in Tuscany stated today that the parameters for Napoli’s prevention of travel would not have been met if they were reviewing it.

I’m sure this is going to create a slew of controversy in tomorrow’s papers.

There has been a major outbreak of cases in Campania.

I'm not sure if anyone outside of Italy knows what its like or the last time they were there but before Covid, trains, planes were filthy and full of germs and diseases easily spread.

I doubt anything has changed despite all the anti Covid cleansing and precautions which they are all BS rhetoric.

First class by in Italy is like 2nd or 3rd by American standards. Compact charter flights even though only take an hour are even worse. I got sick every time I flew from Florence to Milan , Rome or Calabria. This was during the days of the SARS virus so I can just imagine how it is now.

ADL has every right to postpone a game.

We will see. It is a joke in any case that and very bad for the league.

I just don’t see why ADL would do it on purpose if not forced. It makes little sense. He cannot be this retarded.

Agreed, at the end of the day the league just looks mickey mouse because of this. The league takes 2 steps forward and then 1 step back.

I feel bad for Napoli here. Serie A needs to reconsider its stance on this matter and do the right thing and re-schedule it for a later date.

The Genoa-Torino game on Saturday wasn't played, but I read where it was going to be re-scheduled and no one was going to be penalized for not playing it as it was originally scheduled.

Was the Juventus-Napoli issue down to the timing of the refusal to allow Napoli to travel? Anyway, it's a sad situation all the way around.

Agnelli claims Napoli should have self isolated the second Zileinski was tested positive. He says had Napoli done that then the local health authorities would not have imposed a ban.

Btw Milan or Genoa last week or earlier Atalanta did not self isolate and never got a ban. I think given the increase in cases the health authorities are taking a harder stance.

Genoa has 19 positive cases, that’s why the game was postponed, they did not meet the threshold set by UEFA or Serie A. Napoli had 2 last I heard, maybe 3.

I think the question has to be why was one team from the region allowed to travel, but not the other?

ADL being ADL. He either "wins" or will loudly complain how the league is "rigged" for Juve...for the 509500000 time

He messed up the Dzeko move just to spite us and his player. It is what he does and the fact is Serie A has too many idiot owners like him. Lotito is another one.

The sooner those guys are replaced the sooner the league can move forward.

Sad thing is he will sue and will prolly get away with this.

Maybe because the team Napoli played on Sunday had 9 players teated Covid positive after the game.

Napoli as a club is acting pathetically while Juve controls the narrative.

But I find it bizarre to blame a club for not showing up if they were banned.

If Napoli was not banned then Juve did nothing.

Also remember Palermo game was cancelled because their opponents did now show up.

Palermo cancelled the game and did not go to the stadium.

I hate ADL more than anyone. He is holding Napoli back.

But how did he hold back the Dzeko move? Milik staying at Napoli and leaving in 6 months for free costs Napoli much more. I agree he is stubborn and unbearable but some of the criticism is unfair.
