You guys have been dominating. Probably one of the best games you've played up to this point in this season. Crossing is still an issue though. If that could be fixed, games would go a lot smoother for Juve in my opinion.
Why does Bernardeschi keep getting games? He's had one good game all season yet he continues to get minutes.
WHAT A GOAL CRISTIANO RONALDO 🤯 https://t.co/xs1IET2d2y— TC (@totalcristiano) June 30, 2020 Ronaldo's goal
Amazing performances since the loss to Napoli. I think removing Matuidi from midfield has played a large role in the improved football. Bernardeschi has provided the balance needed in his removal
Overall, we have now played 3 straight halves of excellent football. PK calls are still WILDLY inconsistent. If Lazio's Pk was a PK, then we should have had one today with MdL.
Kid that scored is Inter player on loan Amazing 2nd half though, really individual goals again...but we were knocking on the door all game. Big shoutout to PERIN with 6 saves and 16 accurate long balls. Hope to see more of this but we still play out of sync on attack...lots of useless passing around and killing attack by passing back. Wish played more thru middle and they made runs...when someone got the ball everyone just watching or its a back pass. At least we are building momentum and scoring goals.
I'm pretty sure Sarri said that was the area that he was going to leave more up to the players. He wanted them to play his way from our goalkeeper to the opponents box and the final part he didn't want to take away from the individual talents that we posses. Which is great when we have the ball being moved quickly and then brilliance from Dybala, Ronaldo, and DC11. However, the other 80% of games where we haven't moved the ball quickly, it is stale and toothless. As others have said, this is 3 halves in a row that we have played pretty consistent which is exciting. The next step is putting together multiple consistent games, which will be tough because there will need to be some rotation after the same lineup 4 games over like 2 weeks. fino alla fine
Think about how we scored. We had to rely on three brilliant, but difficult, oals for the win despite being utterly dominant. I know we had a couple of impressive results in a row but it's difficult to believe that we can have sustained success with Sarri.
I would say quite the opposite. If Sarri survives this season, I think it is easier to believe that he will have sustained success at Juve. If he is given the time, history shows that his team will be able to develop and better understand his philosophy. His philosophy with Juventus DNA can make a great combination. If he doesn't win Serie A and we crash out of the CL, I don't know if he makes it and nor do I think he should. However, if we win the Scudetto, the minimum has been achieved without underachieving.
This could be correct. The last 3 halves look more like what Sarri has been trying to I'm implement here than almost any we saw in the earlier part of the season. Looks to me like the players are catching on.
I guess we'll see. However I'd be very reluctant to keep him if we are eliminated by Lyon and just barely squeak out the scudetto. Frankly he wouldn't deserve to be back.
