As much as we tend to dwell on the negative we have some brilliant youngsters on this side in De Ligt, Bentacur and Dybala. It appears we will be adding Arthur next year as well. There is some reason for optimism going forward even where you have to figure some of the veterans will be phased out.

    He has been brilliant.

Now he needs to get his offensive game going again like he had at Ajax. Combine that with his much improved defensive play and he will be the world class defender I thought he could be.

It is criminal how poorly we have bought at MF since the Pirlo/Marchisio/Vidal/Pogba days.

If Ramsey could stay healthy he can provide the much needed central attacking midfielder we haven't had in ages. A guy who can get into the box and create havoc.

That right is the biggest issue, he's never been healthy during his entire career. He's never completed a season without an injury, it sucks.

Hopefully he can stay off the injury table going forward

Hope he can do a bit more than a 50% goal rate with the ball teed up for him on the spot. A couple from the run of play would be nice

I’m excited that our team is getting younger and better too.

    Dybala
    Demiral
    De Ligt
    Bentancur
    Rabiot

We just need that one midfielder that will help get everything get together.

Still wish we would have signed Pogba...

Btw Lazio was gifted that game, that was a horrible penalty call, like he was already falling down before contact

Chiellini is not supposed to be a starter at this stage. We need him for the big games though (especially over Bonucci)

I dont know what to think of this game....glad we scored and won but lets face it, this was probably worst Serie A team of last decade. Once they went down to 10, we had to score. Even with 11 man, you could tell they are more of a Serie B team

We still suck at creativity in attack, not too confident about CL yet

Looks good on paper, but are we gonna keep a cohesive unit together for a while?

We did the same bragging in 2016 summer when we had a core 8 young players...out of that bunch only Dybala & Rugani are still here.

Good point. I would say that we won't 4 years from now. However, I think they will stay together for probably 3 years.

Lineup against Genoa. Same as the last few just with a new LB. Danilo steps in...Lord help us if he plays like crap again.

    Juventus:
Szczesny; Cuadrado, De Ligt, Bonucci, Danilo; Bentancur, Pjanic, Rabiot; Bernardeschi, Dybala, Ronaldo

Bentacur is a stud. Good handle on the ball and he works hard. Hopefully Arthur complements him well. Add on another top midfielder in the summer and we're in good shape.

We're playing really well moving the ball around, but we need to be more direct.

And that's been the issue the entire time with Sarri, all these touches and no penetration.

The standard of play has been much improved considering the last half of Lecce and the way we started today. I would play Higuaín in lieu of Bernardeschi though.

Even Rabiot looks like he has a pulse today.

All that possession, even deep in their half, and we have nothing to show for it. Bernardeschi doing ********all as usual. This side cannot play the way Sarri wants them to and he is to stubborn to adapt.
