There was a thread for Milan players, so I'll do this one, although frankly it's a little bit depressing. Keeping in mind that I am not watching today's France game live.

    Italy -
Zambrotta - one of the Azzurri's few solid performers
Buffon - ditto, although questions remain about that Sweden goal
    Del Piero - ugh
    Camoranesi - double ugh
Di Vaio - didn't get much of a chance to do anything

    France -
Trezeguet - hasn't impressed - fortuitous goal vs Croatia
Thuram - burned big time by Wayne Rooney

    Czech Republic -
Pavel Nedved - now it's obvious, he was saving himself for this tournament this year!

    Croatia -
Tudor - suspended for game 1, simply awful vs France (own goal and gave the ball away to Trezeguet to score). I didn't see the England game, but he can't have been great if they gave up 4 goals.

    Did I miss anybody?

One of the greatest quotes from Thuram just before the tournament started about Rooney said something to the effect of Rooney being to inexperienced to have any real effect on the game . .. "He is no Pele . . ." Pretty funny in hindsight.

Del Piero looked slow most of the time except in the first half of the Sweden match. Camoranesi is playing his way out of the national team, he looked like he was being weighed down by the enormous amount of hair on his head.

I defend Buffon on that Ibrahimovich goal. I don't think he could easily get to the ball when it bounced out and around in the box like that. Heartbreaking :(. However, that recation save he had towards the end of that match was class. He did pretty much all he could for the Azzurri. Rarely made mistakes. Too bad nobody can score on the other end...

I feel terrible for Pavel to get hurt and not help his team yesterday. Any word today on how serious his injury is? I hope he's able to make a full recovery before the season! And I hope the rumors about his Czech teammates Rosicky and Jankulovski possibly coming to Juve are true.
