Hopefully he can start making the bench and some random appearances by the end of the year.

he's too good for the youth league but probably isn't ready for 1BL either

I think when playing well he’s ready for BL1. He’s just inconsistent so risky to put him out there yet.

I would be shocked if they played him at CB at all this season unless they had a rash of injuries. But they might trust him to get some minutes at RWB once he gets acclimated with an eye on him trying to play RCB in a 3CB backline next year.

They're holding a CL slot at the moment so I feel like they're going to be conservative with integrating him

Maybe someone else can find Reyna with a Fulham shirt. I couldn't track it down.

"For a defender, Che has a good combination of dynamism and footballing elements," Hoeneß characterizes him. "He's flexible, can also play on the right, but he can even play all three positions inside. From that perspective, he's an exciting player for us , who hopefully will be an alternative very quickly. But he's young, he comes from America, so we'll have to see how quickly he acclimatizes and adapts."

Hoffenheim is short-handed for this weekend, but Che isn't going to be thrown in right away:

I like how the coach says if he put him in now he wouldn't be doing him any favors. I think this is not taken into consideration enough by fans. Obviously coaches sometimes play their favorites too long when a deserving younger player is ready but if they do rush them and they lay an egg all of those fans calling for them will then turn on them or pretend they never called for them in the first place. It's a delicate balance since it's a team sport and no matter the talent they have to fit in.

Debut watch continues. I promise that if you watch 42 seconds of this 53 second video, you'll see his name on the bench. Starters get dramatic music and poses, bench gets small type at the end.

Trailed 1-0 forever, but 85th and 90th minute goals by Baumgartner took back the lead. Still have one sub left and Rudy is down hurt, So a chance we'll see a sub, but could be Akpoguma instead of Che if it happens.

Full time. Great comeback win for 2-1 to put them into the Champions League spots, but no Chebut.

Che stayed on the bench with Bruun-Larsen. Remember when that guy was getting Pulisic minutes at BVB?
