Things may start moving fast if the stadium deal gets approved. Don't miss your chance to name the thing before the corparate types set the name in stone. Here are a few that I've come up with: Scorched Earth on Main Street The Inferno Brimstone Stadium The Frying Pan The Core
Hotter than Hell (HTH Stadium) La Caldera Red and Black Stadium The Monumental Unfortunatley, more likely candidates will be JCP Stadium EDS Stadium Minyard Stadium Frito Lay Stadium Frisco High Stadium
Dallas Athletic FC aka the Burn should name their stadium after the specific area its going to be built.
The site is in a field in an undeveloped part of a suburb. It is on Main Street in Frisco Texas. Main Street just doesn't have much of a ring nor does Former Sorghum Pasture. Some day because of this stadium the area may have a name but nothing at present.
Boy do I hate counting chickens before they hatch. Its bad karma. We had names floating around for the stadium in McKinney too. When the shovels hit the dirt then maybe I'll toss around a name. Until then I am tossing salt over my shoulder, not stepping on cracks, not walking under ladders, not crossing the paths of black cats, 4 clovers and all that.
It is hard to get too excited until shovel hit the dirt. However, I did mention the furnace last year for the Mckinney Stadium. So whoever tries to take credit for it will have to talk to my lawyer. Anyway, I would like to add another name into the hat. How about Cathederal of Dreams. Less than 2 weeks to go.
Why don't we do it the way they do it in Europe? You know, build the thing first then let the fans go to some games for a while until something unique and evocative about the stadium inspires a fitting and catchy name. Crazy huh? Or we could do it the Los Angeles way, and force some pantywaist name on it because we stupidly think that's the way they do it in Europe, then we can spend the rest of the time befor a real nickname emerges insisting that we're not wannabes.
The #1 way to piss off many Gals fans is to refer to their stadium as anything other than -- well, you know. My preferred nickname for that stadium is "The Toolbox." After all, it is sponsored by Home Depot and it is going to be chock full of tools on gamedays.
That's El Jefe everyone. Give him a round of applause. His new movie Police Acadamy 9 opens up next week. Jefe will be at the Comedy Club this Friday and Rafael's House of Laughs on Saturday night. Our next guest is one you may remember from Alf, she was married to Mr Tanner.....
I was thinking about "The Sizzler." That way you may get a few more families out for each game looking for all you can eat bar.
How about ' The stadium of losers' ??? That sound perfect for a team like dallas and fans like dallas fans, won't it??
