Who knows. . . it may just means he is not with the rest of the team. Still waiting for some real news.
.@1913parmacalcio, vicinissimo Troilo dal Belgrano: affare in definizione https://t.co/nBYZGy2nL4— Gianluca Di Marzio (@DiMarzio) August 14, 2025 Parma active on the transfer market. Closing to a deal on a CB.
If I’m Parma…the longer there is zero action for Gio at the price I made public or the price Dortmund made public the more I begin to question why I made an offer that high in the first place
That makes sense but I think Reyna plays enough defense at that spot unless he's on a seriously under performing team playing old style RB ball. What I've seen with him back when he was healthy was he helped with defense by being very hard to get the ball from and had good vision to make passes most players don't pick out. Can he still? Depends mostly on health.
Not necessarily. In cash flow terms, Reyna staying will cost them no more than his €2.7m salary but any replacement at their level will cost €2-3m in salary, times three or four for the number of years on the contract, plus agents' fees, lawyers, etc. Unless BVB have identified someone they need to tie down in a hurry, letting him see out his contract as a 3rd-choice scrub isn't that much of a cost, not if letting him go for pennies marks you as a bit of a soft touch in other negotiations. The real reason for letting him go isn't financial, it's the benefits of getting an under-motivated player with no future out of the dressing room and out of their hair.
This piece quotes a German newspaper, Ruhr Nachrichten, that states Dortmund's sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, is currently trying to speed up Reyna's exit from the club: https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/ser...ussia-dortmund-spinge-per-la-cessione-2135027
Considering the Haller situation business and the Reyna situation attitude related would be telling..or is the theory that Haller should give up $10 million because it bums BVB out?
True, and he's entirely within his rights to do so but then it's his decision to do that. In which case, could everyone just chill about his lack of club PT and being overlooked by Poch? If an international player consciously chooses to see out his contract in a WC year, that's his decision and everyone should respect that.
Hasn’t he already made his choice though? He’s agreed to personal terms with the only club to make an offer. What more is he supposed to do?
Negotiate a "by mutual consent" contract cancellation and take his chances on the open market. That's what you do if playing in the WC come June is a priority.
Do you read what you write? Dortmund have an offer for $8 million and are holding out for ten and you think it’s a by mutual consent thing? Seriously. Read what you write. Then give it a think. Then after that..:reconsider.
Clint Dempsey, who has scored 27 or so goals at Fulham was their best player didn’t get his transfer done until almost midnight the day the window closed. from what I remember, I think his contract was worth $7 million a year for him. I’m not even a little bit worried. on a sidenote, I wouldn’t even be a little surprised if he ended up in Colorado. They have like $9 million ready for a decent player. I know it’s MLS and it’s a couple levels lower than Germany, but it will give him plenty time and he will be a star unless he gets injured and he tends to be injury prone
Seems there's more of a market for a used Honda Civic which was t-boned by a drunk farmer driving a tractor.
