Probally should know but I don't so here goes. Is there some age restriction that would prevent Arena from trying Freddy Adu on the Nat team right now? I remember reading that Arena was quoted as having said "I'd take him on the Sr. team right now" but I don't know if that was a joke or not. I would love to see how he could do in a lo-key friendly against Sr. level competition. There are some clips of him flying around the internet and he seems to have the size and skills to succeed at the Sr. level. He has scored against the Chicago Fire in scrimmage and appears to be a better dribbler then any forward we currentlly have. I know Michael Owen was playing at 16 so unless there's some kind of rule, why is Arena waiting ???
Here's the Adu on Sr. team thread -- I'm not sure if it's been addressed, but you can pose the question there if not. https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37608
