Yes, I know he's a minor factotum in the YA world. Always seems to do well at lower levels but never seems to rise up the ladder.

Oh, yeah, Junior scored the clinching goal in the FA Cup 2nd round today in his conference team's (Dagenham) defeat of Plymouth.

BTW, too late to cap him IIRC, so save the flood of emails ;)

Junior scored a spectacular goal ...

on a "flying header." BTW, he was interviewed after the game, in the locker room, and sounded not a bit American. USA-born? Sounds like he's always lived in the UK ...

He sounds like a complete Londoner when he talks, I was also wonderering about this after hearing him interviewed. I decided not to mention it because it was probably something that you people have gone over a few times.

Gotta love their goal celebrations from both FA Cup ties though.

What is his link to America??

Maybe his great-great grandad was a yank.

He was born in Texas to a Brazilian family. Left the US when he was 2 though. Still, of course, a US citizen.

I think its best to cap him before Brazil snap him up.

Hell, the way the English forwards have been performing in the league recently, Sven might snap him up...

You mean the poor performance of players like Beattie?

He's already played for England's amateur national team. Scored a goal against Holland.

    Sven, cap him now.

well if you want to pin your hopes on a single, young, inexperienced striker, then sure.

we did it and it worked wonders... ;)

he did have a little help though.

    So does Brad Friedel.

  13. Going by the broadcast (strange hearing Andy Gray on TV) Junior has quite the reputation as a giant in the FA Cup. Was it last year or two years ago Dag & Red had a strong FA Cup run because of him as well?
