Just signed for QPR and according to the signing profile he is eligible for the US along with Canada & Jamaica: http://www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2853716,00.html Any further info on how he is eligible?
I believe this was looked into and the story seems to be that while he has American blood, he is technically ineligible for citizenship at this point. Nice player. Fun to watch.
Having done some amateur sleuthing, Fifa (http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/clubfootball/news/newsid=1567609.html) list him as being US eligible and Hoilett himself (http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/new...drops-England-call-up-hint-article695537.html) says he might be eligible. Presumably the beleved ineligibility for citizenship would relate to his mothers residency in Canada?
