Just saw this on the BBC website. That has to royally suck. I was looking forward to some great things from Juninho.

Any idea on how long he might be out.

Unfortunate turn of events... Juninho seems to have horrible fortune with injury... the timing is always the worst. Always he recovers but he certainly ins't the most reliable, albeit it's really no fault of his own. Remember pre-WC 1998, he was dealt something similar and his first spell with Boro and Madrid were marred.

    'Serious' injury for Juninho

Middlesbrough were dealt a massive blow yesterday when World Cup winner Juninho was ruled out of the start of the season with a cruciate ligament injury. The 29-year-old Brazilian damaged his left knee in Saturday's friendly with Italian side Modena in Mantova...

Juninho unlikely to play before Christmas

Middlesbrough fear Juninho could miss a large part of the season after suffering a cruciate ligament injury...

we should all wait until the club officailly anounce it before we say anything. Because websites just make thier own stories up about things like this....
