These next two months give me a little faith in the revival of this team and the return to the middle of the table/playoffs hopefully. Look at the schedule, a run here could spark good things to finish off the season:

    June 6th
    vs Colorado Rapids
Missing some players, coming off some awful play, but its a rivalry game... Look for some fight, maybe not a win, but hopefully some heart (if we dont see it here, then the team is done I think)

    June 13th
    @ LAG
We will get some players back, playing one of the worst teams, and if we are coming off a good result against the crapids, this is a very winnable game.

    June 20th
    @ Houston
I have no hope in this game, just pass it over.

    June 27th
    vs Toronto
I see this game as winnable as well. TFC is a very hot and cold team this year, and we might just get lucky...

    July 3rd
    vs SJ
Hopefully by now the team will be playing well and can beat a very bad SJ team

    July 18th
    @ Columbus
Gotta hope they continue to struggle (though they are making a comeback now) I see this one as a likely loss, but maybe steal a point

    July 24th
    vs FCD
    A must win game. Period

That is 13-15 points I see us capable of achieving if, AND THATS A HUGE IF, we turn this ship round after hitting, in my opinion, rock bottom at SJ.

If we continue to struggle here, its going to be really hard to convince me to come out to games afterwards

I actually see this one as a win. Houston has overachieved this year. My opinion watching their games is that they have gotten pretty lucky so far.

yes, sadly I know that is true. This is a game that has to be won, or at the very least drawn. We lose to LA or FCD then we dont deserve to play in this league

I completely disagree about Houston. I didn't watch this weekend's 3-0 win for them, but every game I have watched, I don't think they are missing DeRo. I think they have the best midfield with Clark, Davis, Mullan and Holden. Their forwards are quality in Ching, Kamara and the roaming Akinbiyi. They are missing Eddie Robinson, and their defense has still only allowed 2 goals in 7 games. If we pull a win out of this game, I would have to jump back on the keep Kreis little red wagon.

Disciplined & all business. I have no personal connection with Houston, but admire DK more & more each year. My own father would have loved him.

    Chicago
    Houston

This is really the only thing I would disagree with you about. Not to be rude but Laker fan by chance?

My question is this, would you pay to eat at the same restuarant if their service and food weren't good? I wouldn't.
Granted I am a fan but at the same time I am a fan with not much money (being in school with a wife and kid will do that to you) so if they expect me to kepp coming you better make strides to show that you appreciate us foriking over money for a product.
Being a fan doesn't mean we are OBLIGATED to ALWAYS go to games. That is the stupidist thing I have ever heard. I will always support the team but won't pay to do so if they can't give us a product worth paying for.

I don't think anyone is obligated to attend any games or support RSL in anyway that they don't see fit.

As much as I enjoy this site I grow weary of the pain and angst expressed by some here when things don't go RSL's way. Maybe I'm getting old but I haven't cried over a loss by any of my favorite teams in years.

I know soccer isn't a matter of life and death, it's much more important than that. But c'mon. RSL sucks right now. I am as big a pollyanna when it comes to this team but I know they suck. Will they always suck? Maybe. Many of the fans in this market have put up with title less teams for much longer, like 30 years of zero titles. Two trips to the NBA finals. That's it for a franchise that is 6 or 7 times older than RSL.

RSL sucks. Winning is everything. If it will help I will gaurantee an RSL victory Saturday.

    There, now everyone can come.

My brother talked to me about this yesterday. He has always been a supporter of bad teams (bills, utes early on in his life, rsl, etc etc) and said the best thing for this club is simple, time. However, it came with a sidenote, if you take too long you wont exist anymore. How much time do we have to wait for RSL to be good?
For the Bills... well he is still waiting for a win
For the utes... it took a decade or two (depending on the sport)
For RSL... lets hope we can keep it under a decade please

    Have fun with TO:rolleyes:

Big game this weekend, I see it as the telling point of the season honestly. If we win and play well, this team still has time (with luck) to make a run at the post season. If we lose... it'll be fun to watch the heads roll come seasons end (should be sooner, but I've accpeted the reality of it)

Come on RSL, play to your potential (or better if you believe we are playing at that now)

How is it a telling point of the season? RSL is without 2 key players, and Colorado is without their key instigator. Is it a telling point for how well the team performs with reserve players filling key roles? Telling point of how well Jason adapts to the situation? I don't think you can make a game a do or die when you are missing your key play maker and key hacker (not to trash Kyle, but he did some really dirty stuff at San Jose)?

with how poorly both of them have been playing, it really isnt that big of a difference, any other coach would bench at least one of them...
It may not be a "the whole season rides on this" kind of game, but I do feel that it is an important game mentally and emotionally for this team. If we win we can find some confidence again, if we lose... then I see things getting ugly quick
