not really a club or country decision here.... tape the meaningless friendly (though it should be a great game)....go see the metro game live.....and tailgate come home after the game...and watch the US v. Brazil.... or, go to a bar that will show both....like nevada's.....but a home game is a home game...
if true (not live) then the weekday games are not live...the weekend ones are.... now back to the question...
I'll tape the Confed Cup game and be at the Swamp for the Metros - Galaxy. I organized a group outing for the 6/21 game before I thought about the Confed Cup, and didn't realize there would be a conflict. Once I saw the schedule for the Confed Cup, it was too late to undo the plans for the Metros game.
I'm just dreaming here, but it would be nice if the Metros could put up a big screen in the parking lot to show US - Brasil, so we could watch while we tailgate. They'd have to push back kickoff of the Metros game to 5:30, which wouldn't work because it's an ESPN2 game but, like I said, I'm just dreaming here.
The change was the weekday matches. There were some that would be live but now none will be live. It was in an email that went out today from soccertv.com.

You go to the MetroStars game and you tape USA-Brazil and watch it when you get home. What the hell's the problem?

Let's look at this realistically. We all know Brazil is going to win, it's just a question of whether it will be a slaughter. So since we know who the winner is, it doesn't matter if it is seen live or not.

Someone in the USA Mens forum posted that Nevada Smith's will be replaying the USA - Brazil game at 8:00 on Saturday night, giving people enough time to get there from the Meadowlands after the Metros game. Sounds like a pretty good doubleheader.
