David Beckham signs for Arsenal for discount fee after failing to reign in Spain

"After an indifferent 2 years in La Liga, David Beckham has confirmed his move to Ashburton Grove and told reporters that he is looking forward to rebuilding his reputation and career with this seasons champions.

Interviewed at his new home in St John's Wood, David was qouted as saying 'Victoria is chuffed to bits with the move back to London. I just hope Arsene can do for me what he's achieved over the years for players like Nicolas Anelka, Marc Overmars, Manny Petit, Thierry Henry and Robert Pires amongst others. I've had to take a substantial cut in wages and will have to fight for a place, like any squad player, but, I really believe it's worth it.' England coach, Harry redknapp, was delighted to here the news and said that this was a good first step to resurrecting his international career."

Nice one, the "England coach, Harry Redknapp" bit was the funniest though.

 ...if he came to arsenal i would shoot myself in the head...

"London - Real Madrid coach Carlos Queiroz has dismissed speculation that England captain David Beckham will move back to the Premiership, stating that he expects the midfielder to be a Real Madrid player next season."

thank God...while with man u he had pissed me off enough

"The 29-year-old former Manchester United midfielder has reportedly been targeted by Arsenal and Chelsea but Queiroz said he expected Beckham to remain at the Santiago-Bernabeu stadium because of the opportunities he gets to play in the centre of midfield."

-but sadly enough it might have happened

We were supposed to be, when I originally posted this little wheez!

Is Queiroz going to be at the Bernabeu next season? Last year the coach won La Liga and still got dumped! This year they could very well end up trophyless?
