When I first started watching televised English Football in 1995, I rooted for Everton and QPR. I lost interest in Everton, and lost track of QPR, as that was the year they got relegated. BUT, since Ross brought them back to my attention over on BSSM, and since they made such a good run at making it back to D1, I am now officially once again backing QPR. And let no one ever accuse me of being a frontrunner, as I am jumping on the bandwagon the same day they lost the promotion playoff. Besides, they have the coolest jerseys in the world. Next year, top of D2, after that, who can say?
Welcome back, I too spent a few years away from closely following QPR due to work and family commitments, but got back in the game again last year. However much I want to see QPR back up in the top flight, I find following them away from all the big money, big ego world of the Premiership makes me feel just a little bit closer to them, almost like I'm following players that are in my same finantial bracket. Plus living in an area that doesn't have major league teams following a "smaller" team like QPR seems appropriate. Anyway, welcome back.
Welcome, dcwalker. Hope you stop by here for QPR conversation during the close season and as we begin our upcoming promotion campaign! doolittledog2, welcome to the conversation here too. Here's hoping our little QPR section on BigSoccer continues to grow.
INDEED!!! dj is rock-solid: trust me on this!! I have been in mourning since the debacle in Cardiff (though I'm grateful for all the BSSMers who expressed their sympathies to me). But I believe I am finally ready to speak up, and express my true feelings on the promotion final... ...here goes... F***!!!!!!!!!! -whew! THAT was cathartic!!!
