Hey all... I won't be talking any club smack this time (not that I really ever do). I have some questions about the July 6 match: 1. Is there anything special I have to do to be able to bring our drum into CCS? Drum permit or anything like that? 2. Is there any rule about confetti? I'd like to bring a small amount -- say 20 or so 30-gallon trash bags. Will that be a problem? 3. Would anyone object if La Norte hung our La Norte *heart* USA banner? Thanks in advance, Sachin
Didn't LUD run into a problem with confetti? Some cow from New Albany complained to an usher that some confetti got into her drink or something so they told her to stop? I don't recall the particulars but I remember her being annoyed about it.
I will check on drums. If that's a small amount of confetti, i'd hate to think what a large or regular-sized amount of confetti is considered as. Some people don't like club banners being hung at USA games, although that one should be ok, as it's not strictly-club related. Crew Stadium's banner policy is that it can't be offensive, and it can't cover any advertising signs.
the more noise the less you hear singing. Unified noise = atmosphere Just a bunch of noise = crap atmosphere like a Day at Andy's house. And I bet you can't keep a beat. What the ************ is a bombo?
Extra Ticket I have an extra ticket for the US vs Paraguay game Section 136 Row 2 Seat 13. (one of my sons decided not to go - older son and I will be in seats 14 and 15. Or atleast standing in front of them.) Face value $20(no ticket master charges since I bought at the box office). No Shipping and handling charges for fellow Big Soccer Members
Re: Re: July 6 USA v. Paraguay Questions For the season opener, we had 30 55-gallon trash bags full of confetti. That's our record. The Fire Marshal asked us nicely to lower the amount I hope the La Norte *heart* USA banner isn't seen as a club baner. It's done in red white and blue and doesn't mention United anywhere. Eggy, the drums, when used properly, adds to the singing. Ask anyone who's been in La Norte or who was in Miami for the Argentina match. Good drumming adds to the atmosphere. Sachin
Drums drown out singing when only 10 people are singing. Who's all going and whats going on after the match?
Updated with new info: Now that R&T is open Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, I guess that takes care of where to drink. Sachin - something should be announced soon in regards to banners, drums, confetti, etc.
I had wrong info. This is what I just got. thursday 3rd - 11 AM - 2 AM friday 4th - closed sat 5th - noon - 2 am sun 6th - 5 PM - 11 PM
St. Patrick and I will both be there. We have front row seats in the North End. I am bringing my red horn that I got in Quebec (it was for noisemaking during 24. juin--St. Jean-Baptiste Day) and a banner proclaiming that it is my birthday. For the second year in a row, Solskjaer will be celebrating her birthday at Crew Stadium. Love it! Maybe Rob Stone will see my banner again this time! I'll also be at the July 5 match and this time I WILL remember the Michigan Crew Fans banner.
That's true. They asked her not to bring "true confetti". From there on, she brought her own kind; paper shredded in the little squares that feel like confetti, are a bit larger and supposedly are easier to clean up. Maybe that was the true reason she wasn't allowed to bring the smaller confetti in...
