Man, how many times can you fit the phrase, "LoveSac," into a press release.

I like this part of the RSL release:

BROADCASTING AND P.A. REQUEST: When speaking of the organization, please refer to the team as "Real Salt Lake" on first reference, with "RSL" or "Real" acceptable on second references. Please refrain from using incorrect references "Real Salt Lake City" or "Salt Lake Real." Usage of "the Real" is also discouraged. The written word "Real" should not be written as "ReAL" except when used in the brand logo or shield mark. Also, please note that "Major League Soccer" can be abbreviated to "MLS," but never should be referred to as "the MLS." We appreciate your cooperation.

Well, if you didn't choose such a crap name none of this would be necessary. Idiots.

http://msn.foxsports.com/soccer/story/3776614 Real Madrid to play unnamed MLS team on Aug 23rd in the Bernabeau. Hmmm...I wonder if FCD is under consideration for this one. It would be a great way for the league to showcase EJ if they do plan on trying to sell him.

If they do, I have one thing to say: "ROADTRIP!".

Yeah.....riiiiiiiiiiiiight. Anyone who makes the trans-atlantic flight to Madrid for a pre-season friendly will automatically be deemed "King of the Roadtrip" in my book. I don't care how many times Daniel drives to KC.

Why would anyone be wondering that....he's not on the tournament roster, he can't be added now.

It is much easier to pursuade the wife/girlfriend to spend a few days in Madrid than KC.

Probably, but its much harder to convince the creditors why you need $1500 to see a meaningless soccer match.

This article suggests it will be an "all-star"-ish roster, not a specific MLS team.

MLSnet.com, Ron Goode - FCD look to get past loss to Revs
"We have talked about it [the loss] and now we are moving on to our next game," said Gbandi. "That is the mentality of this team - we have a lot of veterans and a lot of guys that have been in the league and know when you lose you can't get too down and you can't get up too much when you win." .

MLSnet.com, Tino Palace - The Clean Sheet: Where was he?
Tino will be watching FCD take down RSL. Is it me, or has Tino's passion for Dallas dramatically declined since the rebranding?

...and don't think FCD didn't come very close to doing one too.

When referencing the MetroStars in any print or broadcast media, please note that the team name no longer includes "New York/New Jersey" or "NY/NJ". The team should be solely referred to as the "MetroStars". In addition, if you would like to abbreviate the name, please do so as "Metros" not "Metro".

Okay, Buzz, you proved your point.

When referring to Buzz in any print or broadcast media, please note that he does not appreciate being referred to as "dictionary butcher" or "misspell boy" or "typo man". In addition, he should only be called "Buzz", not "the Buzz" or "Buzzer".

Actaully "the buzz" is ok as is the occasional "buzzard" or "buzzman dopeman" if you are related to me or in my fraternity.
