I'll take a Springbank, even if it's only 18... or only 15 for that matter. And a simple Highland Park 12 does me fine too (though those warrior series things are mortifying...)
I'm particial to GlenFiddich 21 (which is what I was drinking last night) and their 18 for that matter.
...older than Julian.) Google tells me their next game is Jan29. Are we going to have to talk scotch until then? Me, I'm an old fashioned guy. Four Roses bourbon, a teaspoon of maple syrup, a heavy dash or two of angostura. Squeeze of orange peel oils. Good to go.
Some love from Ancelotti http://www.espnfc.us/german-bundesl...at-bayern-and-backs-him-to-shine-at-stuttgart http://www.espnfc.us/german-bundesliga/10/video/3034791/ancelotti-opens-up-on-green-transfer
Carlo is a pretty honest dude. He wouldn't be afraid to speak his mind if he had different feelings about Green.
Sound like a pretty decent review from Ancelotti.. I'm excited to see this 'very improved' Green. He emphasized his off the ball game I've thought that was a strong suit in his game too. He makes VERY good runs. Arena is going to have a lot of good options at his disposal to choose from in attack! Excited to see Green play more for club and country
I just hope this isn't still his claim to fame on these boards in five years. If he's stuck riding the bench for the Tampa Bay Rowdies, please don't reference the hat trick that he scored in practice last summer as evidence that he's talented and that we can't give up on him. That said, great move. I hope he takes advantage of the playing time and shows that the developmental system at Bayern made the past few years worth it.
Comments by JG37's coach after Green's first friendly match: VfB head-coach Hannes Wolf: "It was the second test game without conceding – that’s a positive thing! The fact that we failed to score ourselves is naturally less positive. We’ve still got some work to do! Considering the current status of our winter preparations, the display was ok. I would like to have seen us press deeper into the opposition half, but to be fair, the lads have heavy legs from the intensive training we’ve done over the past few days. Julian Green had a couple of good situations in his first game for us. It was clear to see that he has distinct qualities and that he can help us further. He certainly still needs some match practice, but he’ll get that over the next few days and weeks." http://www.vfb.de/en/aktuell/meldun...duisburg-spielbericht-/page/4643-1-1-.html?f2
"I played Champions League with Bayern for an hour. I achieved my childhood dream, now I can live for the memories." Kid talks as if he were close to retirement. Lucky their next game is against St. Pauli. Even without Fafa around, they suck.
