Green didn't play well. Heartbreaking 3-2 loss after rallying from 0-2 down to equalize.

Julian starts against Hannover 96 today, along with Dietz. Teams start the today "next two out" of the promotion playoff spots, with the winner temporarily leapfrogging Hamburg.

27 minute delay due to fans confusing tennis with Fußball. Lots of tennis balls on the field, apparantly

    Match is on ESPN+.

You have to wonder if the bookmakers are taking bets on what will be thrown at each match -- tennis balls, candy, coins, etc.

2-1 win for Furth as Green plays the whole match. Breaks a three match losing streak. Three points out of third place. Green with a couple of long shots.

Green (and Dietz) starting against Elversberg, and are down 1-0. Having lost 4 of their last five, they're at the wrong end of the crowded battle for the last promotion spot without a win today.

Green starts in a 1-0 loss to Hansa Rostock, as their nightmarish stretch continues. Green with three very long shots, so maybe pressing. Their promotion chances are fading. No Dietz in this one.

So, Green has been out since that game on March 16th. Only thing I found was in the next BL2 game against HSV on March 31st he was listed as unavailable due to an ankle injury. He hasn’t played since.

    Has anyone heard anything else?

On the roster today and came on in the 92nd minute of a 2-0 win over Schalke, so hopefully he's most of the way back from injury before the summer break.

He turned 29 already. I remember when he was a 17 yo kid w/Bayern and a massive hope to have a Yank as part of the core for that club! He looks 50 now, but it's still a surprise to me than he's almost hitting retirement age for a forward already.

    Time flies.

    He's playing midfield now.

But late-20's is a good age in the 2nd tier in Germany or England. You need some veteran soldiers at these levels, players who know how to react in very physical, nasty games. These levels are often tests of maturity.

Green knows the 2.Bundesliga inside and out.

Julian gets MOTM with 5 chances created and 6 shots, mostly long distance, in a solid 2-0 win over Regionalliga club Schott Mainz.

Julian played the whole match in a 11-1 draw with Paderborn. Paired with Dietz in the midfield for the second half against Santiago Castaneda on the other side. Green took the corner that led to the Furth goal, but doesn't seem to get an official assist on it. Took six long shots and 6/6 on duels.

Julian scores on a patented cut in from the wing curler into the top corner. This after hitting the post earlier on a follow-up from a break.

He has always been one of our best hitters-of-the-ball-from-distance. Knows how to score from that spot.
