Free kick from just outside the top corner of the box, set play to give Green an angle around the wall, and he strikes it pretty harmlessly - don't need to be Neuer to save that one. Technically a shot on goal?
Kimmich with a great 25 yard shot into the lower corner to make it 2-0. Julien & friends are going to lose the possession battle horribly, and he will get few chances to do anything. Sometimes first place vs. last place games look like it.
Well, unlike Alavés and Norwich, Fürth at least has a point from their tie at home against Arminia. I don't see them getting anything here. Ref needs to red card another Bayern guy to really make things interesting.
Right. Been keeping half an eye on the game at work and I agree with this statement. I've got finely tuned screen minimization reflexes well honed from doing this kind of thing at work, but I found myself getting agitated when I made the screen big and saw the Leipzig traitor subbed on.
3 to the nil at this moment thanks to Mr. Lots of Goals. Or maybe an own goal. Don't know. I'm not going to treat the thing like the zapruder film, since I'm about to blow this joint.
Their captain, the Swede Hrgota, is one massive dude. He's supposedly a striker but he kicks the ball like a little kid. It rolls, slowly, and the keeper doesn't even have to hurry. It's strange, like one of those big dudes who has a high-pitched voice. PS: He just got replaced. Coach had enough.
If Green were 20% faster he'd be a very good player. As is, he can read the game well and has intercepted many balls that could have become dangerous. But he gets there always a couple of seconds too late, when in attack. The one time he made it through was that red.
Only Green and the guys who came in as subs keep running. Gotta give it to him: he's not happy losing game after game and is pushing himself to do something about it. Lots of heart. And, overall, a good game for our guy.
The young guy who replaced Hrgota scored right after Green left. It helps having a striker who can actually send a quick ball.
Tillman playing right midfield, but I can't say I'm confident about the formation. First pass by Tillman was a nice aggressive vertical ball. Furth starting off with aggressive pressure.
Good heavens, Tillman gets the assist for a second straight game, nice pass slipped through to an overlapping Meyerhofer, who nutmegs Horn while wide open just inside the box.
Penalty appeals for Furth in the 10th minute - VAR says no but I'm not sure why. But it's too late now.
Tillman taken down on the counter on the last play of the first half, could have been a drawn yellow but isn't.
Koln equalize early in the second half, and I think Green's chances of playing in this one just jumped.
