A yank that scores every other game and doesn't even get a thread. The audacity... Was subbed off at 70' after scoring the only goal for Greuther Furth in the first half. He has 6 goals, 2 assists in 17 appearances.
JG's squad up 2-0 at the half. Green picked up a YC in the 22' for a bad challenge according to the ESPN commentary. No assist on either goal. Hopefully he can last the second 45' without picking up the second yellow.
Julian Green's USMNT plan: 'Keep kicking butt' until he gets another call https://www.espn.com/soccer/united-...-keep-kicking-butt-until-he-gets-another-call
Ends 2-2 as he had the first goal of the comeback to earn a draw. Timothy Tillman played the second half as well.
Julian's goal: Julian Green’s 8th league goal and ninth overall for @kleeblattfuerth is superb. #usmnt #kleeblatt pic.twitter.com/uhHIcg1uY6— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) April 16, 2021
I'm a big fan of national team players who know how to score goals. I hope he's involved with the USMNT going forward.
Up 1-0 early via Ernst. Green not involved in the play. Also, Green seems to be playing more out to the left, and just drew a dangerous free kick on a good dribbling run.
Nielsen draws penalty, Hrgota makes it, 2-0 in the 19'. Green was the first one to visibly appeal for the penalty, though...
Green hockey assist for 3-0. Nice one-touch through ball to Hrgota, who one touch cuts it across for an awkward but effective one touch finish by Nielsen for 3-0.
Full time, stayed 3-0, Green went 90, Tillman played extended garbage time. Second half was pretty boring.
Pretty decent - they control their own destiny, up 4 points on Hamburg, though the former Bobby Woods have a match in hand. Play like they did today and they'll do it, but that's not so easy to do every time.

15 mins gone. Düsseldorf, in the first few minutes, came out and had the better of the play inside Furth’s half but Furth have settled in and are controlling the pace a bit. Furth had great opportunity off set piece but the Fortunate keeper did well to parry it away, You can also hear Furth’s supporters outside the empty stadium cheering their boys on.
Oh no! Düsseldorf on a counter, after an opportunity for Furth on the other end, score on an absolute beauty of a curler. What a goal. 1-0 Düsseldorf in the 27th
Fürth's left back plays a ball to Green who was entering the box unmarked. Green can't control the difficult bounce. Fortuna recover and score off the counter in the 26th minute. 1-0 Düsseldorf
Furth has to be extremely careful as they commit numbers forward. Düsseldorf is certainly dangerous on the counter. Furth have to throw numbers forward but they will leave themselves a little exposed.
Green had an opportunity on a header after a looped in cross. Easy save for the keeper. Heard to generate enough power on the header to beat the keeper form that kind of cross.
