I want to know hom much you guys can juggle. What do you guys consider alot? (without dropping ofcourse) Is juggling with your had as important as juggling with ur feet and knees? I seem to have problems with that, i've been practicing just simply balencing the ball on my head, but so far after a lot of practice its not working. I think my technique is wrong, anybody got any tips???
I've never really tried counting. I assume I could theoretically go on forever, if I never got tired. After a while, when you reach a certain skill level, the only thing that stops you is boredom and getting tired. After a few hundred i get a little bored.
Advice on juggling with the head I got from a coach who's team was Estonia's Champion and Cup winner (with only wins durinign the whole season): Your knees should be slightly bent, your hands can be bent to balancing you at the sides. Ideally your feet shouldn't move at all. You have to look straight up at the sky and bounce the ball on your forhead. Your body and your head is one vertically straight line. You use your knees to bob yourself up and down to bounce the ball on your forhead (this movement will become very small once you master it). Thinking about the correct technique helped me from juggling like 5 times to 20-30 in like no time.
juggling, like any soccer skill, just takes time and effort. you cannot pick it up easily, you need to work and work and work, and then work some more. and then when you think you've worked enough, work some more. ain't easy, but it is the only way to get good.
I've got great ball control but for some reason I can only do like juggle it like 20 times. Any tips like do you point your toes or anything like that, thanks.
Juggling is any move you use to keep the ball of the groud (obviosly not including the arms). It does teach touch and is a skill that every aspiring soccer player as well as those who consider themselves good, bad, great, horrible, etc should practice regularly. I still juggle all the time, in my apt, out side, on my porch, wherever I can. I am presently trying to perfect the stall move with my left foot...which is significantly harder than with my right, but I'm getting close. As far as tips, I wish I had some, but I have always been a pretty decent juggler, my head skills lack, but I can juggle all day on my thighs, and my foot skills ain't that bad either. I think it is just a matter of practicing and messing up over and over until you get it down.
i can do about 20. thats after 2 days of learning (around an hour each day). not that good, but hey every1 starts somewhere.
I've never tried to go as high as I could. I usually hit 300 and just got bored. I did, however, hold my varsity teams speed record for 30 seconds with 48 juggles...that was a while ago. Back in my prime playing days I probably could have gone for a good long while; today...I could probably get around 150 or so without too much difficulty. My interest is peaked though. Once the fields on campus dry out a bit, I might just see what I can do.
If I concentrate I can get 150-250 but usually after that i want to start over, or I lose concentration. Just keep trying, at first I didnt think it helped my game, but I really do think so now. thanks
Thats insane. What were you guys allowed to use? We had to pick either our feet or thighs. No head use was allowed. I used my thighs and beat out a teamate who clocked 47 with his feet. 89, that is almost 3 juggles a second, had to be head, or incredibly fast feet...skepticism still sneaking in though.
I can pretty much keep going until I feel like stopping. I can do foot stalls on both feet and I'm trying to learn the neck stall but its pretty difficult for me. I think my record was 1012ish last time I tried. I know my goal was 1000. I would suck at speed juggling. The thought of juggling even 48 times in 30 seconds makes my brain run in circles, let alone 89.
I had the same goal as Ben 1000 and got to 1020 before losing control. That is with thighs and feet though, with only feet my best was 769.
I can't juggle to save my life! No matter how much I practice I can't ever get more than 16. I've been playing soccer my whole life and have done juggling at tons of camps but I still can't do it. Any1 here have that problem?
It was all feet. He used both bouncing the ball around an inch high each time. It was pretty insane. The kids name is Jimmy Klatter, I think he goes to Eastern Illinois now.
