Sad that we leave out such a talent. At the same time, I agree that perfect harmony between the players is one of the main assets of a NT.

Re: Juan Sebastian Veron That line-up is awesome and very likely assuming form and injuries have all been dealt with, the only question I have is if Teves and Crespo can be together up front. I still think a wing forward like Delgado may be a better choice.

I think that if it was just a question of skills and talent there is no doubt he could be in the National Team, but politically he won't be able to after all the bad blood between him and Sorin, and the criticism of fans I do not think that Basile will even consider to call him as he wants to begin his new coaching term off smoothly. Also Argentina is full of talented mid-fielders who are much younger and accepted by the fans. It might be unjust and sad but that's life.

I always thought it was a shameful injustice the way the media and public treated him after Japan. He is mighty talented and even at his age he has a lot to offer to the NT, talent, motivation, experience..etc. But with Mascherano filing the #5 spot for years to come I don't think he'll get called. He shouldn't play the enganche roll.
