Cool make boys and put them in the Inter or Juve Youth system.

Honestly dislike him as a player for all his diving antics but hope he does something after his career is over. I can't really see him as a coach but if he an agent for a team or something that can help the NT in the future it would be great. Like Ivan Cordoba tho I think Cuadrado probably burned a bridge at Juve by going to Inter

Deep fake? I can't believe he wouldn't retire playing for DIM.

Heard an interview with Cuadrado talking about the Copa America.
He was making it seem like the only reason he was not called up was because he was not fully recovered from his injury.

Not sure if that is something he is making up or if Lorenzo is telling him he needs to be healthy and playing consistently.

It will be interesting to see how his situation ends up at Club level and if he is called up in September.

Why would he need to make that up? He's a grown man Homie. This guy is legend for us (top 50 all time) but we have a hard time loving our players.

Aristizabal was very average for our NT but was a king for club and yet we have a hard time celebrating our guys, specially in their older years. I know we have to criticize and have a scapegoat for all our past issues but we have (count with 1 hand) few Colombians that have had his type of trajectory/reputation.

If Lorenzo calls him at some point it WONT be to make him the man. It;s because he feels he can make the team better. Chances are he's pretty much done but if Lorenzo feels he can add something to the squad I'm all for it.

I think the problem is that we have a big sample where Cuadrado has played very different for us then for his club and has had the attitude and approach that he wants to be the man, and that has hurt us alot for a long time. He's a really good player, but I think we should have dropped him along time ago and our managers should have made him play a different way or benched him, we didn't and we constantly bought into his club reputation and it hurt us.

I do think if he was called Lorenzo has a better chance of doing what needs to be done, but I'm just worried about a post injury player of his age who may have some real problems within the squad because of how things played out last cycle that imo its probably not worth the risk.

Count me as one of the people who do not want him back. He is an all time great for Colombia. He had longevity and success both at the NT and club level. He was so much fun from 2012-2014

but his insistence on being a star for us ruined it for me. I don’t think he can help it, if he’s with the NT, he will try to force things as he has for a long time.

Additionally, I am not sure his style fits us best. Even Lucho isn’t the best fit sometimes because he holds on to the ball for too long. We want to be direct. Press and be direct and that’s when we are at our best. He can’t help but kill the ball to do gambetas. He is a momentum and directness killer.

I wish that wasn’t the case because it would be awesome to have a guy off his quality off the bench, but man I just don’t trust him

I cannot verify if the discussion with Lorenzo even happened or if Cuadrado just said that the only reason he was left off was due to his injury was just his own opinion. That is why I am not sure if it is a conclusion he came to on his own in his own mind or if it was specified by the manager. The interview really did not go that deep.

Maybe it comes off as a bit rude which is not my intention because I am sure he would not just lie, but the interview did not really go into full detail and I would like for someone to ask Lorenzo his side.
