As a BVB fan, I have a lot of time for Gio Reyna Gio physically reminds me so much of Francescoli, fluid, strong with a defender on his back and with great vision and finishing skill. Basically, like a stronger Gio Moreno and less awkward. I agree he will be key for US.

Just makes me think how much Colombia needed one of Gio Moreno, Cardona and Quintero to fully realize potential and offer relief for James. Instead we've relied on C4 to play that role with him. Imagine if we could play C4 at RB like Juve does and have James play with Cardona or Quintero in midfield, how much more dangerous we could be.

We would have to hire and Italian coach who tells Cuadrado to stop flopping around if we were to ever put him at RB.
He just plays like a totally different guy in yellow than he does at Juve.

I think Cuadrado has a competition with James. Wants to be a star with us

dont think so, actually these "flop matches" of cuadrado in nt...are when james inst avaialable.......that he tries to be the leader (and should)............

the lack of syncronization of cuadrado with arias and medina (because pf their falencies) also affected the performance...........

The flopping JC did so often has two sides of the coin in my eyes

    Negative:
    1. So frustrating to watch as a fan and it would kill any sort of momentum we tried creating.

    Other side Of the coin:
    1. He was trying to draw fouls and wear down opposing defenders. Can’t knock that.

I don’t really recall instances where players were moving around looking for space for JC to pass the ball too. Hence why several players disappeared in many games during the 18 cycle - I blame this on lack of tactics from Pekerman and staff and talks between the players (at least that’s how it looked - or didn’t look - on the field). It looked too often like a pickup team playing for the first time.

One day when JC11 is done, I hope there is a player of his caliber who is willing to carry the load/burden in being a midfield general.

For all the knocks we give him at times (myself included), he will be sorely missed and tough to replace.

I like him better as a super sub. In 2012 and 13 he was a game changer in that role.

As a starter he often kills the momentum with his forced dribbling and flopping

Contributed always in the elaboration of goals in 2014-2018...our attack with him would be even worse without him...yeah maybe frustation....but the guy always give danger and headache to opponents .. .

He suffered a lot of the long absence of james duting the wcq

I totally think it could work so long as we use that MF spot to all space the midfield more.

You are going to have to wait until Queiroz is fired because Cuadrado is his #8 come hell or high water.

I do not think Gasperini's ultra offensive tactics could work at a National team level.
It can work at a Club level because he can drill it into his players day after day after day.
At the National team level when managers only have the players for 5 days then wait Many months for another 5 days and so on, it could be a bit detrimental to what he wants to do.

I would see you especially complaining because we are drawing matches 4-4.

Same going ultra offensive doesn't work for Conmebol football.

Bielsa's tactics are a little bit different as the formations sometimes change according to who he is playing against.
He is very offensive though along with his Disciple Sampaoli.
I do not think it would be easy to implement their styles of game to our players either.
Chile's players seem to have an aggressive mentality with more players who can shoot on target constantly and do not forgive as much as we do.

I have never seen a thread in their forum that has to do with scoring situation like ours does. ;)

yep its a uniquely colombian trait to miss all clear scoring situations. Its in our genes, part of our blood. Can't help it.

Quick thing about the USA future again:
Dest is reportedly going to Barca.

I never thought I'd see the day where a USA player will be starting for a Top 5 Premiere League team (when healthy), one starting for Juventus, a player Starting for a very good German team like Dortmund and now possibly a starter at RB for Barca.

    Now back to Cuadrado...

Only things that has me worried is the Keeper situation and the CBs.
    Plus manager tactics.
But the future kinda looks bright if those issues can be patched up.
