Really happy he's close to being back, but hopefully they take it slowly, so many players push too hard too early and end up getting hurt again, gotta build up slowly mentally and physically after such a bad injury.

I kinda thought something like this would happen. He has never been known for his fitness before his injury so it may be a longer journey just to get back into playing shape. Easing him back slowly is best. Never want to rush these things especially when he is at a creative position that opposing DFMs will try to hatchet down with karate kicks.
It's a recipe for disaster for them to rush him into a game like this. He's been out a long time with a serious injury, he's gotta ease back into it rather then ramp up the adrenaline and pop something. Glad he's not in the squad, want to see him but want to see him fully fit and for a long time.
