hmm...that's odd. Rossi up front by himself?

doesn't sound too right. i suspect Pelligrini will put out a 4-4-2 come game time (with Jozy starting of course).

I think Jozy starts this one up top.

The last game also had Rossi starting up top by himself until the actual game started.

Yeah, i think it was (IIRC) only after Senna was excluded due to a knock that JOzy was inserted to play as a starter, correct? Senna is healthy..and i assume JOzy's chances to start look small...Nihat on the bench do not help to get tons of sub minutes either.... Hope to be wrong on all accounts, of course

The good news for Villarreal is that Senna and Pires are back. Hopefully Jozy gets the start, although I don't see whom he would replace in the predicted Marca lineup. In any case, he'll get significant playing time. I don't think Pellegrini is a big fan of lone strikers, especially not tiny Rossi.

I can't see how Pelligrini could start Rossi alone by himself up top. Isn't he a support striker that play behind the big guy?

YSM Don't play boomball so Rossi is fine as a lone forward. It'll probably be similar to Spaletti's 4-6-0

Does that mean Jozy beat Franco to the bench? Is Franco injured?

Yes, Jozy beat out Franco. He was excluded for "technical reasons."

    Marca lineup:
Tenemos alineaciones. Sin sorpresas. El Villarreal saldrá con: Diego López; Javi Venta, Gonzalo, Godín, Capdevila; Senna, Eguren; Cazorla, Pires; Rossi y Altidore

Sweet, both start. Rossi started behind Jozy last week, so I think that is what we can expect.

this is smart as the next 4-5 games will be challenging and they need everyone healthy. I'm sure jozy will not start in the next few games.

As for Getafe, keep an eye on Uche and Granero; maybe Guerron will be able to come off the bench, too.

Beat Nihat to start, or is that just because he played midweek? Did he?
