I do not normally post here, but I am watching the last match of the season for YB. Simpson just came down really bad on his left ankle, and looks like it was a compound fracture. Sorry for the bad news. The foot seemed to be just hanging there as he hit the ground. A Basel player went up for a header, came down on his back, and the foot just got stuck in the ground in a weird way.

It says here (translated through Google) that he suffered a tibia and fibia fracture and he's gone for eight months (aka all of this year). Guess DeRo will have to learn to play wing.

Rob if you have more news, please post it.

The YB website is saying that it is tibia, fibula, and ankle. It was really nasty. Nothing malicious on the part of the Basel player. As soon as he hit the deck it was immediate that something was wrong.

I have a soft part in my soccer heart for the Canadians. I grew up in Rochester and visited Toronto frequently. I thought this was the cycle for you guys, but this does not help at all.

If I find a link, I will post it.

this is a blow. Nakajima-Farran can excel as a winger but isn't quite the same defensive player, and may not be available in the subsequent cycles if he re-signs in Australia. Ricketts is someone whom i think could easily transition to the wing if need-be.

That's ok thanks. I don't think I need to see that.

All the best to Josh. He was fantastic against Ecuador last year. We had high hopes but now all we can hope is that he makes a full recovery and his able to re-start his career with limited after effects of this terrible injury.
