    Among the wilder rumors:

Josh Saunders to Man City. Saunders has been capped by Puerto Rico (ranked 170th) twice (Transfermarkt shows 3), but hasn't played for them since 2008. No way would he qualify for a work permit.

Manchester City could be about to ready a surprising offer to sign New York City FC goalkeeper Josh Saunders, report The Sun.

The Puerto Rico international impressed during an otherwise difficult inaugural MLS season for NYCFC, making a record 123 saves in 33 games.

    From The Sun:

MANCHESTER CITY are bringing in New York City keeper Josh Saunders for a month to have a look at him.

Saunders, 34, was one of the success stories of a hard first season for the new MLS outfit, which is owned by City.

He did enough to earn an extended review by Manuel Pellegrini’s club.

The Puerto Rico international could be offered the chance to become a back-up keeper at the Etihad.

And he will benefit from working with Joe Hart while he is over.

Can't believe you didn't just bump the old Josh Saunders thread. What's wrong with you, man? ;)

Talk about doing it the hard way -- Saunders sure has. Heck, after one collision early this season I wondered whether he might be done for the year.

Far-fetched as it sounds, it's great pub talk. At 34, especially given his unusual career, I might be tempted to take the money and the gold star and just enjoy the show. MCFC's backups are an Argentine of the same age who played a bunch in Spain and 38-year-old Richard Wright.

Could potentially make in one season at MCFC (close to) as much as he has made playing professional soccer his entire career combined

Even if true, not sure how he'd get a Work Permit.

    As an NYCFC fan,

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

he was not a success story. Poor keeper with some of the worst distribution I've seen. He is league one at best quality, not even Manchester City third choice.

Well he has what their second stringers don't have right now. Games, some of these dudes haven't played consistently for quite some time. Saunders on the other hand just played a whole season.
