I had to poop, and right when I flushed, Nickfick scored. I though we looked like what I flushed before then, too, so I guess the only way to go is up? I will be upset if my septic tank feels the same way.
How, after so many years of MLS, do game producers still manage to time player closeups poorly when cutting away from the better wide angle action shots?
Ilike Hopkins ambitious because MLS doesnt care about tv production, only broadcast deal dollars. Curling, worlds stongest man, darts and cornhole have better producers and directors.
re: hopkins - I was trying to say i liked his ambitious Etcheverry style attempt to chip the keeper from midfield. good thing Barakar sucks - that was one WIDE open goal. Why do so many guys have tape on their wrists? The kids on my U14 team are doing this and I cannot get a good answer why. Its just one wrap of tape so it is not doing anything to actually support the wrist. Anyone know?
these idiots leave the guys open on the back side then whine to the AR about not raising the flag. WTF?!?!? I thought at first it was just Akinbonehead, but now I see it appears to be coaching.
Positives: I wasn't in New York. I had Thai for dinner. We brought back lots of tequila and liqueurs from our trip to Mazatlán last week. For the team, though? My wife put it best with "why do they look so disorganized? They look like they're just flailing around."
It looked like they didn’t know what they were doing with three in the back, particularly Akinmboni. I say shred the tape and get a win next week.
It was like that one Sunday league game a season, where half your team says they have vacation plans or work trips...
Actually I thought the field seemed FIFA regulation sized. Citi Field is a clear upgrade in every single way over Yankee Stadium. I wonder if they move there, now that they’ve announced Queens will be their new home? Somebody didn’t like my DC jersey and threw an opened ketchup packet at me. Hunt’s, the bad stuff.
Given the roster available, the result was better than I expected. Since this is an evaluation season, some observations. Peltola -- I like his play alot. He gets stuck in, reads the passing lanes well. He's leading the stat line on tackles for a reason. Hopkins -- he's getting better. He's grown into his body finally and is reading the game better. He's transitioning to MLS quality player. He will not be an above average player however. Pirani -- shows flashes and then makes stupid decisions. He's very fast. He's also very weak and gets bodied off the ball way too easily. He's like half a good player. Akinmboni -- he's 17. He's bulked up since last year and lost some speed. He looks like a teenager going through a growth spurt. I hope he's not going to suffer from Donovan Pines syndrome, but he really looked mentally lost out there at time and just was not reading the play well at all. Fletcher -- this year's version of Jacob Greene, a player who thinks he's better than he really is. Son, you tore up the rec league that passes for Swansea's U-20 league, now you are playing against grown men who make their living playing football. When Lloyd Sam calls you out for a boneheaded play, you have hit rock bottom. The optimistic takes from last night -- Dajome won't be here next year. The question of why Rodriguez hasn't seen major minutes was answered -- he sucks.
Dájome is playing like he knows his job is done and he needs to be in the match squad to get a new contract somewhere. Play at forward, yes sir. Play at left midfield, yes sir, play at left back, yes sir. Play at right back, yes sir. I expect next- play at center back, yes sir. Play at bench warmer, yes sir. Play as ball man, yes sir...
