When: 4/20/2024 at 7:39 PM EDT (actually kickoff). Why: League game for MLS Regular Season How: New rules for stuff and things go into place. Yay!!!!
Well, not off hand but between French Connection UK and DKNY it is just more letters to add to an otherwise shitteh oil farm club
Yankee Stadium is the worst venue in the history of MLS, bar none. But this one is at Shea Stadium for some reason.
Normally we get nothing off of that clown car of a soccer field, but with them being as shitty as they are, I am going to say we take another road point. 2-2.
No Klich or Herrera, could be tough to find goals without those two chance creators. Feels like a loss.
I'll revise my prediction slightly as I had forgotten about the yellow card accumulation suspensions. We'll still get a point, 0-0.
Goff reporting no Ted either. Ross might have to adjust his prediction even more. We score on the road and both teams will be "away" in an unfamiliar stadium. If their fans are as ineffectual as ours (with or without bongos, kazoos and flags) then I see another draw at 1-1.
Looks like we’re welcoming Peltola and Pirani back to the starting lineup? Only match Herrera missed (StL) had Stroud starting in his place, and Jeahze coming on for his only 5 minutes of the season. This one’s gonna be all kinds of weird.
Dragon Stadium in Dallas and Cardinal Stadium outside of Chicago were both bad. But at least they were FIFA regulation size and rectangular. Community America Ballpark tried to fit a soccer pitch into a baseball stadium and ended up with one with of the stands being in a different area code from the field. I don't remember the grass being particularly bad. The pitch at Yankee Stadium is neither FIFA regulation size nor rectangular. The grass is a patchwork; they used to simply throw sod on top of the infield but I don't know if they still do that. And the home plate upper deck seats (where they put DCU fans) are in a different jurisdiction. But at least you can buy a $12 Heineken.

So, the bench is Zamudio, Miller, Fletcher, Rodriguez and Murrell. Antley is out. There are no defenders other than the ones on the pictch -- Bartlett, McVey and Akinmboni. This has bloodbath written all over it.
