So how long will the seleccionados be with the U23. I know Araujo and Avila will be gone after the 6th jornada. Anybody know when they'll come back?

word is going around that if we make it (and we should) past group stage of Libertadores, then Bofo would be one of the 3 refuerzos

    hope it's true

I've read/heard players (Bofo, Bravo, Magallon) talk about how great it would be to have him play, but nothing from the clubs.

The olympic qualifiers are through March 23, which coincides with Jornada 11 (currently, femexfut also says we'd play that week without seleccionados mayores). We'd also miss the U23s for the first 3 games of Libertadores, home vs San Jose, at Santos (Bra), and home vs Cucuta.

"El timonel del Rebaño afirma que cuenta con varios jugadores que pueden ser utilizados como titulares, por lo que no le inquieta el hecho de que a partir de la semana que entra no podrá contar con los seleccionados preolímpicos, además de que el Guadalajara es la base de todas las selecciones nacionales."

Well looks like Medina and Pineda will be on the first team again but not until the pre olimpicos leave. good thing we got depth otherwise we'd be screwed like Atlas. bad news for Esparza but Baez has doing good work on the first team and why would Flores change the formula of winning games?

I think I've said this elsewhere, but I'm really curious as to whether Hugo will take Esparza to the qualifiers.

don't know if he will. but i would be happy either way because we need him for Libertadores.

He started for both the U17 and U20, and if not for his liver problem would probably be a no-brainer callup for the U23. I doubt Hugo had any scouts at Tapatio's game on Sunday, so unless he calls Flores up, it'll be tough for him to know how close Esparza is to his old self. I am happy for Chivas if he stays instead.

Pretty cool for Chivas that it's Baez's performance that is keeping Esparza on the bench now.

there will be a 15 min tape delay though so don't go on mediotiempo during that time in particular.

San Oswaldo says he wants to return to Seleccion and that all the keepers in Mexico are worthy of being on there. i agree with him. Mexico does excel in the keeper position.

Wow, it's cool that we seem to have a lot of this type of stats with each opponent. I guess we've been doing ok after all.

Thanks for this info, can you tell me where you found this. I used to use soccertv.com but that site is no more. I need a reliable place that tells me pacific times and channels for games.

Texmex71 (I think) suggested the Soccer TV link at the top of Big Soccer, though the times seem to be Eastern. Sid pointed me to livesoccertv.com, but that has a Toluca game listed on Telefutura instead, and is also in Eastern time.

true we are stacked at goalie but i hope that he never returns to el tri. something about him and goalazos that don't mix, call it unlucky if you like but i think we're more than good with memo and if not give michel a shot hes earned it. how many more times do have to see a goalazo eliminate us from a major tournament he is a great goalie and loved him when he was playing with chivas because for some years he was all we had as team i just think his time has come and gone

as for the game honestly give me a tie if anything. dont get me wrong i always think that were going to win but this will be the best team we have played so far this torneo. playing in el jalisco is a plus and if we score first i think we should be fine but really though final score 2-1 chivas :D
it's going to be a hell of a game!!!!!!!!!

Great assist by Ramon and Great goal by Omar, first Omar out dribbled his opponent in the box and then shot it with his left. Oswaldo was off position.
