I have a good feeling about this.

The team knows it's so serious now that even the heavy knocks of Clasico and Atletico have to be behind now. They'll deliver, they know Liga is Liga.

This will probably be the most interesting day in La Liga since Jornada 37 in 2013-14. It's the only matchday remaining where all 3 contenders have difficult fixtures so we'll have a much better idea where the trophy will land at the end of the season by Thursday morning.

Ridiculous that its coming down to this, but yeah... :speechless:

Yeah, I kind of also think that this is where they turn this crappy run around. From 39 games in a row with no loss to 6 games with 4 losses (and a draw), wtf! That said Riazor has traditionally been a tricky away ground for Barca, maybe not as much of late. The other concern I have is that it is another game on short rest (last one of those thanks to CL knock out at least) and a must win too, which means pretty much the same players keep playing, no rest for the weary, not when we absolutely must win. At least we play first before the Madrids (a reversal).

A few other random thoughts, we finally get to see Bartra start an important match albeit only do to Pique suspension and Mathieu and Verm injuries, no depth behind him so could see a Barca B player called up such as Rodri Tarin (though one of their CBs, January signee Borja Lopez, is also ineligible due to Yellow Card accumulation). Only Alves from the grand once was rested, I hope that was not due to his Instagram post, which did not bother me, he was making fun of his girlfriend who tried to cheer him up by saying it is only a game, he was not saying he felt it was only a game. Hopefully he is back. Rafinha got green light of health, Arda is battling gastritis, but really neither should start.

    Bravo
    Alves-Bartra-Masch-Alba
    Raki-Busi-Ini
    Messi-Suarez-Neymar

MAtS, Adriano, Rodri Tarin, Roberto, Rafinha, Arda, Munir

Get a 2 goal lead (please!) and then use all 3 subs (please!): Tarin debut for Masch, Roberto for a midfielder, Munir for a forward.

Nope, second-to-last. Barca play on Saturday this weekend. I was hoping that match would get moved to Sunday after the CL elimination but doesn't look like its going to happen.

Sorry, you are right, I meant last midweek game (not last game on short rest). Any midweek game of course tends to mean 2 straight games on short rest (the midweek game itself, and the next weekend's match). After we host Sporting all our remaining 3 Liga matches and the CdR Final will allow for 7 or even 8 days between games. Playing once a week you can actually not rotate (see Leicester); playing twice a week without rotations proved too much. Hope our grand 11 can handle these last two short rest matches.

Big shock to no one (which of course is part of the problem, not enough depth = not enough rotation):
Barcelona line-up (official): Bravo - Alves Bartra Mascherano Alba - Rakitic Busquets Iniesta - Messi Suarez Neymar
Bench Barcelona: Ter Stegen, Douglas, Adriano, Sergi Roberto, Arda, Rafinha, Munir

The surprises came earlier when Vidal was sent to stands, while Douglas got named to the squad (bench). Also no B team CB back up named in case of injury to Bartra or Masch.

Injured: Sandro (thigh), Mathieu (knee), Vermaelen (calf)
Pique is yellow-suspended (BUT TRAVELED WITH TEAM), Masip and Vidal weren't included in the match squad and stayed in Barcelona

Alexis Vidal is fit to play but not including him again would only confirm his fallout with Lucho. He posted something on his IG account that says he is pessimistic.

Vidal: "To continue when you think that you can't anymore is what makes the difference between you and the rest. Life is not about setbacks, but not giving up no matter how big the setback,"

C'mon, Barca! Let's turn this around! The Madrids are not immune to dropping points. Finish your chances!

Typical Barcelona not to score headers from corners. [emoji12] [emoji23]

Looks like Depor push high... Gives lots of counter attacking options.
