National Defender Jorge Andrate has expressed an interest in joining the Red Devils. Manchester United also wants him to join there defence. Ferdinand and Andrate would make a good team.

I know Scolari picks Jorge Andrade ahead of Ricardo Carvalho, but I would take Carvalho instead

How about this one for the Portuguese Defence.

Paulo Ferriera Jorge Andrate, Ricardo Carvelho, Nuno Valente.

Fernando Counto on the Bench. It is a crime that Carvelho sits on the bench and Counto plays.

ya on paper we have a nice team. on the field it's a totally different story. If we don't start Carvalho i'm returning my tickets and flying back. As great as Couto was, ricardo is simply on a different level.

and hey, im just joking, im not trying to be an ass over here. sorry if you thought i was.

Agree with you 100%, Couto is older and is going to be playing for the first time (correct me if I’m wrong ) without Jorge Costa along side him on the national team. I wonder what this will do to his confidence.

well...you're wrong... Couto has 100 caps with portugal so I don't think you're talking about him. It's Carvalho who's emerging into the Portuguese NT and plays along side Jorge Costa!! Can Carvalho is much younger!! like 24 years old.
