Reims lose 1-0. Still five points above relegation zone.

They lose to St. Etienne 2-0, but are still out of the hot water pot, 14th on GD with 33 points. 2 points clear of the drop zone.

Pefok start as Reims take on LOSC. Down 1-0 at the half.

ATM Le Havre is tied, St. Etienne and Montpelier are losing, so even if Reims can't grab points here they stay barely out of the drop zone, but Le Havre have 45 mins to turn their game around (as do Reim of course.)

Reims scored to tie it up at 60, Pefok came off at 70, LOSC scored a PK to go win at 88. Meanwhile Le Havre do win to drop Reims into the danger zone.

Despite the loss, Pefok and Reims were safe until Le Havre converted a 99th minute penalty for a comeback 3-2 win over Strasbourg. Wild.

Pefok did little today - 14 touches in 70 minutes, one long low odds shot.

Reims with an epic end-of-season choke. A single point in any of the last 3 games would have saved their (wine) skin, but alas, only they and last place Montpellier managed to goose egg the last three.

They are currently down 1-0 to Metz at the half. Man that short purple patch for Jordan in the Bund was as unicorny a unicorn as you get.

Now tied 1-1 in the 83rd minute. Pefok pulled at 72nd minute.

And that's how it ended. Leg two is at Reims. They changed things up over the last few years. Not sure what the payoff tie-breaker is. I guess if it's away goals after ET, Reims has a small advantage, and, of course, playing at home "should" be an advantage. Maybe Jordan saves the season in dramatic fashion yet...

And in between both legs of this relegation playoff is the Coupe de France final against PSG.

I forgot all about the cup. Is is completely psychopathic of me to want them to win the cup and get relegated so they're an awesome trivia question for the next 20 years or so?

Yeah, it kind of is. Pefok to score to win the cup and hit a 90 minute winner to stave off relegation!

If they win the cup, they qualify for Europa league. Would be crazy to be relegated and in European competition in the same year. Funding helps for signing new players though.

The cup game is today, for anyone looking for the chance of another Cinderella story.

Cinderella did not score the Parc des Prince (ok, it's the Stade de France, but that doesn't really work as a bad pun, now does it...), sadly. 3-0. Jordan came off at the half with it already 3-0. PSG started pretty much their A team. Reims, to be fair, doesn't really have an A team. Next up - chance to stay up in the relegation playoff.

Pefok on the bench for the second leg of the relegation playoff with Metz. First leg was 1-1. Airing on BeIn sports in the US.

Complete disaster for Reims and Pefok. Up 1-0 (2-1 agg) at 57. Pefok comes in at 72, Metz scores at 76 or so to send it to et, where they score 2 to promote. What a heartbreaking week in Reims.

Haven't seen a team snatch defeat from the jaws of victory (or at least jaws of safety) quite so many times as Reims has at the end of this season.
