Crew not going towards the Nordecke for the first half. Second home game in a row for that. Under Nancy, they almost always went towards the Nordecke first.
Again, you're missing my point. Gazdag is starting tonight because we won't buy him out. That's the sign of a front office that operates on the sunk cost fallacy (which is both cheap and stupid) and that won't admit their mistakes. Haslam can negotiate the buyout at any time without Tall involved. He did it with Nancy. They overspend on the roster fillers and underspend on difference makers.
With a normal start time and a sunny day, the goal in front of the Nordecke is the one spot on the field where the sun is in people's eyes. That's hard for a goalie to deal with. So it's somewhat strategic. Not as much of an issue with an earlier start.
I believe Liverpool likes to attack the Kop end in the second half so that the opposition GK is taking verbal abuse when the game means more. Of course part of this is the coin toss.
Offside plays don’t count for obvious reasons. Most of our moments in their box have ended up being called offside.
The playing around the horn by the back line can go away. It's too slow ... and the Crew have to take touches to get the ball under control. So far ... a mistake from that is the most likely way Nashville scores.
The new formation is working out a lot better. The team look a lot more dangerous. It’s also interesting how freely Gomes, Herrera, and Rossi are switching positions
