Does that go for everyone? We have been taking our group to Betty's every week but could be convinced by Miller Lite's at a tailgate like it's 2008!
I have bad news, my friend: I haven't voluntarily bought Miller Lite in at least 20 years. But I'm sure we could work something out for you.
The family next to meet on Saturday evening brought a 6-course Schmidt's dinner with them to the Nordecke and at first I looked at them with disdain and then the delectable aromas wafted in my direction and I was hit with a craving for sauerkraut like I've never experienced. Even my better half, who is normal German-food averse, asked if I wanted to go run the Autobahn for lunch on Sunday.
We got to eat at the Schnizel Haus in Parma this weekend. Recommended. One of the few good things about Friday, as power outages messed up our hobby show.
There's somebody on BS (I can't recall who it was) who is connected with GFS in Kent, the German Family Society. They hold a number of pretty cool events where the ladies all bring some old family recipe and then stand by the dish and insist that you eat some. It's all really good although some of it is a bit too ethnic for my taste, but you see fat old German guys loading up a plate of it and you figure it must be you. And they have Warsteiner on tap, both the Dunkel for hard core folks and the pilsner for the Yank sissies. Home made German food, cold German beer and a lot of guys on their 8th pint arguing about Kroos vs Matthaus. What's not to like?
German Family Society of akron. Host a really good oktoberfest with Cuyahoga falls. And they do traditional german dances there too. They are intense with the dancing, sort of throwing people.
They ran out of Bodhi early in the 2nd half. I am writing a strongly worded letter to my rep about that complete lack of quality control. You expect me to watch this garbage on the field without being inebriated? How dare you!
Well, if things don't improve I might be in the red by the end of the year. Didn't go last year either, literally first time in a decade I didn't go to at least one game in a season.
I went to get a veggie sandwich a couple years back at the opener. I was literally one of the first people in the stadium. Went to get it, and they said they were sold out. It was like 15 minutes after gates opened for the freaking opener lol.
Free beer and free food at all tailgates for all fans. Why not go? Hey, it's your money you're spending.
