Jermaine Jones maintains his starting spot in today's cup match. It's 0-0 in the early minutes.

Jones went 90 as Schalke scored in the 81st and 83rd minutes to win 2-0.

Jones played well. The whole team looked awful in the first half. Stevens decided to rest Holtby and replace him with Hoger. Hoger was absolutely terrible and the team really couldn't find a rhythm.

In the second half, Stevens subbed in Holtby for Hoger and the team instantly looked better. This should be a lesson to Klinsmann. If you're going to play Jones, pair him with an attack minded CM, NOT Edu/Beckerman/Williams.

Holden is the only one in the pool and he is not healthy.

Well, I can't see Holtby playing CF. But you're right, he's an Iniesta-Özil-type of player. Somebody who isn't just able to keep possession, but actually creates something.
