    Played the whole match, putting up a 3-2 comeback win over Noel Buck and Southampton. Reportedly at right back in a back 4.

    It's the YA match of the day! Gotta love the international break. Tomkinson starts against the Reading Academy side.

    Tomkinson played all of a 2-1 win over Reading Academy. Credited with a big shot block, no other mentions in the match writeup.

    Blanked 5-0 by Man City. This Academy team has conceded 18 in their last 5 matches, flashing some serious defensive quality...

    I really have no idea what the plan is for Tomkinson. His career is at a standstill.

    I thought he was really poor the last time I saw him with the U.S. U-23 team

    @bungadiri @dark knight

    Can we get this poor guy’s thread title back to Norwich? He’s probably confused as to what team he’s playing for.

    The funny thing is that England & Scotland appear to allow players to play for a loan club and the parent youth team. Aboh is on loan at Stevenage right now. There are a couple of other Yanks who are in a Schrödinger's loan situation.

    I wish I could find something online that explains the rules around it.

    Tomkinson's loan to Bradford was one of the more successful YA loans last season. They're in eighth, just two points out of the playoff spots and four points out of the automatic promotion spots. Would be much better than Swindon, who are in 22nd. I called a friend close to Swindon, who hadn't heard about them signing Tomkinson, and who also thinks he should go to Bradford if they want him. But if he goes to Swindon, I'm getting on a train for one of those matches.

    Since he can't make his way into the Norwich rotation, this is a logical next step.
