Though in MLS he’d probably have plenty of first team experience with FC Dallas. Which to me is better than playing for Sociedad B or playing in the Greek League.

You’re right that it’s not a knock for 20 year old not to be able to make it for the first team with a Sociedad but that’s also why a move to a club isn’t the best first step as it’s extremely difficult to break into.

Playing at FCD was not a guarantee. At that time 2020-22 there was Reto Ziegler, John Nelson, and Marco Farfan to contend with at LB. Not insurmountable by all means but there were seasoned guys in front of him. He took his chances on a shorter, less restrictive contact at Lou City, gambled on himself, played well, and signed with a La Liga side. That’s pretty good trajectory.

True. But you can also look it like this…. you can take the harder, less traditional avenue as he has done where he's had to put his head down, grind and do it under the radar. Some may agree, some may disagree… but his career from what I personally know is steadily progressing. I don’t think he’s made any wrong decision thus far. What’s the cliche saying…. slow and steady wins the race? I feel like it’s going according to plan.

Oh…. It doesn’t get any better than this! Look who PAOK drew…. Real Sociedad! Pretty cool moment for JoGo! You know he’ll be pumped.

Slavia Prague, Ferencvaos, Steaua Bucharest, Viktoria Plzen are home fixtures. Away to Man United, Real Sociedsd, Galatasaray, RK RFS (Latvia).

So much for the notion that it was a good move to Greece because he’d at least get exposure in Europa League.

Did some digging and it maybe be lost in translation but it sort of reads like the failed to register him in time. Doesn’t matter, really. It’s very disappointing.

Hollingshead was still there and was traded for Farfan. I think that was also when Reynolds was there. Hollingshead could play on either side so he needed to be better than Reynolds or be in a rotation with the three. A bit fuzzy from memory but if he was as good as everyone thought I think minutes were there for him with a club that had sold Cannon and Reynolds as outside attacking backs.

Imagine being there and not understanding a word, of course it's not going to work out! It's all Greek to them.

In Greek, even the word for "yes" sounds like "no."

Jonathan played the whole match in a 2-0 victory. Unfortunately, conceded a penalty and got a yellow and received the lowest ratings on the squad, but the guy really needs the minutes to get integrated with this squad as much as possible.

Starts a cup match against second division Egaleo. This is the second leg - they're up 3-1 / 6-1 aggregate at halftime.

Can anyone confirm if JoGo is on PAOK's roster for the upcoming Europa League matches next week?

He was not included on PAOK's initial roster, and is not listed on their UEL squad on the official website, I just wasn't sure if teams have a second chance to register players for UEL before/during the January transfer window.

Players can definitely be added or subtracted during the winter transfer window.

Deadline for adding three players is February 6. They'll wait until after they're done with transfers to pick which three players they'll add.
