Must be something in the water. That, or he's related to this guy - all of the Flos were 6'3 or more.

Being heavily recruited ... "Jonathan David may be the next Canadian to play for a top European side. Porto, Lyon, Ajax, and Benfica are all interested in signing the soon-to-be 20-year-old this winter from KAA Gent, according to France’s L’Equipe. The New York-born forward has had a super season thus far, scoring nine goals and assisting seven times in Belgium." https://sports.yahoo.com/report-porto-lyon-ajax-canada-001024190.html
Dude is fast: https://www.rtbf.be/sport/football/...en-fin-de-match-contre-anderlecht?id=10428508 The Canadian striker, in addition to registering the equalizing goal on penalty, allowed himself to perform at the end of the match a sprint of almost 100m with a top speed of 33km / h. All while catching up with a Jérémy Doku yet renowned for his speed.
This is a run that needs to be seen to be believed. Truly incredible. 1227061301156945920 is not a valid tweet id
If you want to irritate our Canadian friends, refer to Jonathan David as "American": http://everton.eplfixtures.co.uk/news/22020/1020369030.aspx?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Everton 'interested' in American midfielder - Everton are interested in Gent forward Jonathan David but will face competition around Europe for his signature.
Like I mentioned in the Canadian thread. If David has Haitan citizenship he would not take up one of Lille's non EU slots because of the Cotonou agreement.
I think him and Weah will play well together. Both will stretch out defenses. I think the most underrated part of Weah's game is how intelligent his off the ball movement and runs are... A defense having to account for the speed the package brings is going to give Weah more channels to make those runs.
It’s nice to see talented Canadian players staying home instead of playing for England/Netherlands. I wouldn’t have been opposed to having one of the more talented young attackers in Europe repping the US, but it is what it is.
