This here is a thread in which we shall praise Jon Dahl Tomasson. I first saw(and heard of) the Dane during the WC. It was like 1:30 in the morning and I watched him play for the first time against Uruguay. As I sat on my couch before the game I was excited to finally get to see Ebbe Sand, who I had heard much about. However Sand left my mind during that game and for the rest of the WC I watched Denmark to watch Tomasson. Jon Dahl Tomasson is one of my favorite footy players and I'm jealous of those of you who get to see Milan and Denmark games! For those of you who have seen him play so far this season I would ask, Hows his form?
He is a good player but unfortunately hasn't done much in his first matches with Milan. He was tearing it up in pre-season but hasn't scored yet in CL or Serie A. Tomasson was brought in this summer to be the third striker or possibly challenge Pippo Inzaghi for the second striker spot along side Sheva. But then Rivaldo became available and Milan couldn't resist signing him. At the moment he is starting Serie A matches and Rivaldo is starting CL matches. But when Rivaldo gets 100% match fit I expect Tomasson to be on the bench for both CL and Serie A. And then Sheva will be back soon and that will diminish his minutes even further. I hate to say it but it could be one year and done for Tomasson because I don't think he will like being a reserve forever. And Milan got him for free and won't mind selling him for some cash in the offseason.
