I doubt very much that the club want this player. just a lazy tabloid putting 2+2 together as Jol was his manager and we're signing lots of young players. We have Dawson and we have Huddlestone. If the club buy a defender it will either be someone in their prime or more likely an experienced player next summer to replace Naybet as the old head at the back. and god knows we don't need another slow and defensively minded player in midfield. Pace and creativity is what the club are looking for in there.
If the guy is a major talent and is available then we should look to improve our squad. Maybe we could swap Atouba and Boulahrouz.
The guy is pretty damned good and young. He will not go for only 2m, and I doubt he would go at all. HSV have a young and talented team right now.
