What is this guys purpose? He does nothing positive on the pitch. Let Magee play.

One of the announcers (Messing, I think) was complimentary on Wolyniec's patience...looked to me like he was being tetative. In the first couple of minutes of the match he had what I thought should have been a shot opportunity and he stopped his run when the goalie challenged him. Magee might be a better choice.

Magee is a better choice. Wolyniec looks too slow. He is big but doesn't really shoot hard. I don't see him getting any headers.

You should look at the tapes, he gets quite a few headers.

I'm looking at it this way. Magee isn't that big. If Bob brings him along slowly, he will learn the pro game and hopefully not break down the way Davis did at the end of last year.

I beleieve Woly is 2 and 0 as a starter

I find it amazing that Droze scores a couple goals in preseason, yet BB brings in Woly-Donkey

I don't think we can complain about both Woly and Magee right now. Woly is making the best of his skills and Magee is way, way, way to green to be a good player yet.

That is why a long time ago I suggested we trade Moreno for a pure central striker. Moreno is another skilled player on the ball of which we have plenty right now. Nothing against Moreno just that he is too similar to the rest of his teamates.

Imagine what this team would do with a Ruiz, Twellman, or Kreis playing with them?

Get used to Woly you'll be seeing a lot of him. Woly is one of Bradley's boys, for a couple years with the Fire he was bouncing between being a starter, reserve, or playing for the Rampage.

he's just a back-up and we had much worse back-ups in the past. Let's not make a big deal out of it and start booing the poor guy or sumthin.

Wolyniec maybe 2 - 0 as a starter but he didn't look good in both games. He looks too slow. Mathis and Guevara really looked good getting chances. Ziade played great but Wolyniec was kind of quite. I don't see him get one good chance on goal and when he does the shot seems soft. Magee got lucky when he scored his goal but at least he put one in. I don't think Wolyniec has to go, just not start.

I look at this way: Woly does not look like his present is much and future is about what his present is. Magee looks like he has potential to score 10-15 goals a year in the MLS within a year or two. Woly would score maybe 4-5. I say develop the future with Magee now so that when Mathis leaves for National duty Magee will at least be that much more advanced.

Woly is a 4th forward at best in a real MLS roster situation without injuries.

very disappointed on the Metrostars forwards, the MLS brand of Soccer is turn me off, the stadium with 11,000 look empty and awful, guess I'm not the only one.

Is it just me or were you surprised to hear that Wolyniec is only 26. The guy looks and plays like he is 40, only without much experience. He should always be a sub.

Too slow and not quick are two of his good traits. Don't see his skills at MLS level either. Not aggressive enough pressing the ball up top as well. Not MLS caliper and I agree he does move like he's 40 yrs old. Really reminds me of Billy Walsh without as much talent though same speed.

is 52% Mathis / Moreno and of course i agree with two posters here who share my view that Magee must be brought in slowly. Woly is a better choice right now to start. I have explained this before to you all, Magee is a better choice off the bench as he has speed and some skill. Perfect fit when there are some tired defenders. Woly on the other hand is strong and tall, i like how he is able to hold the ball keep it close to him, he also wins balls in the air. I predicted Magee won't start I think i was the only one .

I thought Woly played pretty well this week. He won a lot of head balls and was able to hold it in the offensive 3rd long enough to set up some plays. But man, did he get whacked with the ugly stick!
