He was a real asset. However, he was also an SI and having an SI on the bench for as much as Pelusa would have been there... was not a good idea
Perhaps, but since we have an open SI spot it was probably due to the salary cap. We had to pay JC, Buddle, and Martino more than their minimal starting contracts...and Perez was rumored to be drawing down 200k. 200k on the bench is more unacceptable than a SI.
