So how did he do in the regular season? Only info I could find was he played only 9 regular season games - did he get injured?
I can only tell you that his play was ok - not great. He didn't really bring anything to the table - not big, not fast. His skill on the ball was good and he had a great goal but altogether we just seemed more cohesive without him out there. IMHO
You are a great poster but that was a retarded response. Rooney got us a lot of publicity prior to the season started. The fact he is no longer on the team it appears is a big story.
If it were that big of a story, then why wasn't it anywhere? I didn't even know he existed, much less was effectively cut from RBNY, before it was announced he signed here. His existence netted us a couple goals off set pieces, one missed PK, and zero exposure to his big brother. So why does it matter if he's gone?
Because the original question wasn't "Does it matter that he's gone?", the original question was what happened to him and why is he gone. Agreed the club, above anyone else, didn't consider it a big enough deal to say much, as there probably wasn't much to say. But that itself agrees with the fact most supporters have no idea why he's no longer with the club, so they're asking.
We tried to use him in the pocket as a playmaker. Didn't work. He wasn't fast enough to play anywhere else. I don't see him agreeing to ride the pine so...
