Last week the AFA announced the abandonment of the 2020 Copa de la Superliga after one round. The current Copa de la Superliga format involves the 24 Primera Division teams being divided into two groups of 12 clubs that play each other once. The top 2 teams in each group then advance to the semifinals. The 2019-2020 Argentine Primera Division ended on 3/9/20. Sonora scored 4 goals in 552 minutes in the league (17 appearances, 5 starts). Arsenal finished in 11th. Sonora also made an 11 minute substitute appearance in Arsenal's only Copa de la Superliga match. In addition, with Arsenal Sonora saw 26 minutes of playing time (1 appearance) in the 2018-2019 Copa Argentina (which despite the name was a 2019 calendar year tournament). The club was eliminated in the Round of 32. His parent club Talleres de Cordoba qualified for the 2021 Copa Sudamericana and have yet to play their Round of 64 match in the currently suspended 2019-2020 Copa Argentina.
