Richards on the bench, spoiling some of the fun. Scally had a a nice moment where he launched a counterattack by beating his man off of the dribble and making an accurate pass all the way to the striker, but no other moments I saw.
Embolo finishes off a corner that was flicked on, and they lead. Of course, recently, that doesn't help much
Impressive first half - fair enough to say they merit being at least tied if not ahead against a better side. Scally good passing, but two of Hoffenheim's best chances were Georginio Rutter doing enough to get a step on Scally to shoot, so you can't credit him with shutdown defense.
Scally clears away a rolled cross calmly, but ruled offside anyway. Next attack partially blocks across that then goes just over the crossbar.
Hoffenheim hit the crossbar off of a corner, but I think it would have been called back for offside. Scally randomly kicked by Posch after the play.
