Seems simple: Lainer must earn his spot back. He isn't just going to start playing again right away because he's healthy, he has to be better than Scally. Scally seems to have the backing of the coach/sporting director etc. I don't see any "anti-american" bias in how Mönchengladbach have been dealing with him. And while we do overhype around here, BMG has hyped the heck our of Scally, but he has delivered so far in this 1st half of the season! The kid is a really special player!
Just turned on the game. First sight of Scally was of him getting beaten resulting in a dangerous cross.
Scally fouled after a nice touch wide of the defender, and the replay makes it look like he should have drawn a card.
Scally gets the ball open on the left wing, attempts the cutback and shot to the far upper corner. Misses by quite bit, though.

blunder by Neuhaus who was just subbed on and Koln capitalize. 2-1 The whole sequence starts with a throw backwards by Scally. Maybe think about throwing those forward and pressing instead of sending it too far back. Then it is 3-1 and I didn't see the goal because I looked away for a second. BMG seemed to lack bounce in the step today.
Terrible decision by Neuhaus. Two players, inc Scally pointed to the open man 10 yards back and he made that terrible, terrible pass. Full possession w options, not under pressure w his head up, to even attempt to say Scally did something wrong there is either an attempt to be purposefully provocative, u r bored, or u r trying way to hard to be smart on the net.
