Starts again and already involved and looking confident against Stuttgart.

Rips a shot from outside the box but just wide. I think that was him, anyway

Joe playing RWB in a 5 man back line. He wasn’t at fault at all for the goal. He has had a few good moments with the ball in the attacking 1/3rd. Won a corner, chipped in a nice ball that could have been more dangerous etc.

I think I like him better on the left but jury is still out. BMG showing a little international window blah's but Scally is alert as ever. I believe Zakaria, Embolo, and Sommer are all Swiss internationals.....

I’ve been watching the second half. BMG has been the better side. Joe not getting on the ball much though.

Joe just had a tame SOG in the ‘68. I think he’s playing on the left now.

Scally out at ‘80 for another attacker.

    He was pretty quiet.

Joe comes off at 80'. He seemed to have been limping slightly or might have been out of gas. The tactics didn't favor his game. He should have had more of the ball when they were playing on the right. When they switched him to the left it seemed they were looking to play down the right and finish left at which point Scally got one shot on target from the left but the keeper saw it the whole way and made the save.

I thought this was a game that didn't use Scally enough early on when BMG had all of the ball.

I thought he looked pretty good out there. Quiet, but you aren't going to be a monster every game.

Scalley starts at rb v. Hertha

Edit: Should have said right side because he appears to be playing high

yipes minute 6, SCalley sends a beautiful square pass into the box to somebody who muffs it and turns it over but Scalley follows up with pressure and draws a pk !!

Edit: Now they are looking at it for review. Gets overturned.:(

Who scored has it as a 3421 which seems correct. It gets Scalley more involved at that rwb position.

Had an injury scare a few minutes back after a hard tackle, but seems OK. Looks to have grown in confidence week by week.

Joe's ace-in-the-hole is his passing. He has a knack for the correct pass.

Gladbach gave up a goal against the run of play. Since then, they look about as focused and organized as Jethro Clampett after a couple of bottles of moonshine. Scally's been pretty quiet for most of the 25+ minutes I've been watching.

Iffy foul call against Scally there. Gladbach not generating enough offense to deserve an equalizer since I've been watching.

Looked like Scaly's dribbling run helps lead to a goal, but it's called back for offside. Nice horizontal run along the top of the box, followed by a fortunate bounce off on an imperfect Scally pass. Offside Embolo's shot rebounds and the rebound is finished, but called offside.

After subs for Gladbach, Scally switches to the left side.

Nice long ball over the top finds a teammate, but tough angle shot into the side netting.

Bad Scally header gives Selke a chance, but Bremen watchers knew that wasn't going to matter. Nice steal as part of a double team late.

Hertha very organized defensively, Gladbach didn't break them down to get enough good chances. Oh well.
